Date to Date Calculator

Date difference rules

The date calculator measures the day distance between a start date and an end date.

By default, it treats the result as a distance: the start date is included and the end date is excluded. Turn on end-date inclusion when you are counting a period.

How to read the result

A positive result means the end date is after the start date, and a negative result means the order is reversed. Calendar interpretation helps distinguish day distance from period counting.

Examples

Days until a deadline

Use today as the start date and the deadline as the end date.

Contract or event period

Enable end-date inclusion when both the first and last dates should count.

Limits

  • This tool works at date precision, not hours, minutes, or seconds.
  • Weekend and holiday exclusion is handled by the workday calculator.
  • Shared URLs include the selected dates and inclusion option.
